As the Principal of the Electrical Engineering Group at EEA, Mike strives to make our paper instructions as constructible as possible. Mike is responsible for QAQC (making it work), standards (being consistent), training (constantly learning), and workload (working to live, not living to work) for the electrical staff within the Austin office and a supervisor role for the electrical staff in the Albuquerque office.
His recent experience has included a large ramen noodle plant in Texas, numerous semi-conductor production lines, and rehabilitation of Texas fresh and salt water fish hatcheries and state parks.
“As a kid, I always enjoyed taking stuff apart to see how it worked,” Mike said. He started out as an intern with EEA in the Summer of 1997 where he worked on the Austin Airport parking garage and has remained at EEA since. “EEA provides a family environment and a fun place to work. The variety of work is always interesting. I’ve had the opportunity to see many interesting places. Plus, I really enjoy the people here,” he said.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering in 1997 from Texas A&M University in College Station. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in nine states. He and his wife, Lindsay, reside near Round Rock with their two kids, Bryson and Finley; and their dog Molly. In his free time, Mike enjoys taking vacations with his family, running, smoking and eating BBQ, DIY home improvement, and watching his kids play sports.
