A December to Remember! Capping off 2021

The first half of 2021 saw many EEAers working from home with limited in-person activity with one another. Fast forward to the latter half of the year; well, we may have made up for some of that lost time. After a year without our holiday gatherings and events, EEA Employee Owners were more than ready to celebrate this time of year with each other. It has been a month filled with fellowship and fun, giving back within our communities, and knocking out project schedules to end the year!

Our holiday festivities started in our newly established Phoenix, AZ location. We gathered for a delicious dinner with our PHX crew and to talk about what is ahead for our work in Arizona. The future looks bright for our newest location! The next stop on the holiday train was Albuquerque. We celebrated with a White Elephant gift exchange and yummy food amongst an ever growing group of EOs. Keeping with the growth trend, our San Antonio holiday dinner doubled with just how much they have grown within the last year. No plans on stopping that trend anytime soon!

Austin EEAers took part in the holiday spirit as well. We gathered for friendly competition and games at High Five. We took over the whole space and had a great time. Here are a few snapshots:

We followed the fun with our admin team’s gift exchange at Pinthouse Pizza and more camaraderie. Finishing it all off was the annual Ghisallo Cycling Initiative’s Bike Build at the ABGB which donates the bikes to kids throughout the greater Austin area. Outside of this event, EEA donated to other organizations this holiday season: Toys for Tots, Central Texas Children’s Home, Haven for Hope, Roadrunner Food Bank, and Lost our Home Pet Rescue.

Fun times for the EEA Admin team!

On a bittersweet note, we bid adieu to longtime EEAer, Scott Simmons, as he embarks on his new retirement adventure. We certainly will miss him but know he will enjoy this next chapter!

Good luck, Scott!

It has been a whirlwind of a month (Who are we kidding? Months.) for all of us at EEA. These December highlights have proven how much we enjoy each other’s company and working alongside one another. We hope that our clients and partners see that through the work we produce. As we have learned, we cannot predict what 2022 looks like. Our desire is more togetherness, not only with one another but with our clients too. We extend our gratitude to all of you that made 2021 an unforgettable year!
