EEA completed MEP design and construction phase services for the renovation of the Southfield Building, which is becoming Austin Independent School District’s administrative offices.
This project involved repurposing the existing chilled water piping, replacing several aging chillers, replacing all terminal units, adding exhaust systems, and replacing original air handlers and associated appurtenances to provide HVAC services to all renovated spaces. Additionally, EEA completed plumbing modifications to accommodate the additions of several restrooms and other plumbing fixtures throughout the building.
Electrically, EEA succeeded in providing power to all new and existing lighting, receptacles and equipment with the existing service, as well as upgrading the existing lighting to LED.
