As a response to the growing demand for energy efficient, LEED certified office space, this two-story 45,000 square foot shell medical office building was designed and constructed in 2009. The project achieved a LEED Gold certification through the LEED for Core and Shell rating system. The facility utilized an efficient water cooled packaged HVAC system, energy efficient site lighting, and strict tenant standards to achieve the Gold rating.
Additionally, a 5-kW solar photovoltaic array was installed on the roof. These features combined to produce a building that uses 25% less electricity and 32% less water than a comparable building of the same construction.
