The Tower Life, historically known as the Smith-Young Tower was completed in 1928 as Mixed Use (office & retail). The scope of this thirty story building adaptive reuse project is to convert floors 2 through 30 from offices to apartments. The River Walk level was designed as retail. The mechanical scope includes specifying new chillers for the retail floor and replace the existing chillers with water source heat pump VRF system to serve the apartments. The plumbing scope includes upsizing the existing main sewer line and adding a new water service line. This project is currently awaiting construction.
