Dan Hemme

Dan Hemme serves as EEA’s Senior Acoustician.

Dan has been involved in audio and acoustics since the late 1990’s and has been consulting professionally since 2009. He provides on-site measurements, analyses, design, and recommendations for room acoustics, architectural and environmental sound isolation, building systems noise and vibration control, and structural vibration control, and oversees audio-visual system design and commissioning. In these contexts, he has worked on projects in a wide variety of market segments including Education, Performing Arts, Healthcare, House of Worship, Hospitality, Mixed Use/ Multifamily Residential, Industrial/ Manufacturing, and more.

Dan approaches every project with a holistic outlook, encompassing ANV and AV design with architectural, MEP, structural and other design elements. From owners and end-users to A/E teams, he strives to produce work that is accurate, relevant, timely and understandable to the recipient.

Dan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering and a Master’s degree from the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Acoustics Program, both at the University of Texas at Austin. He’s a member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineers (INCE) and the Audio Engineering Society (AES).

Outside of EEA, Dan is passionate about supporting local theater productions by providing acoustical and audio support. He is also the proud father of three.
