Rick McHugh serves as the branch manager for EEA’s San Antonio office where he’s primarily responsible for overseeing engineering projects in and around San Antonio.
Rick joined EEA in November of 2018, bringing over 25 years of mechanical design and project management experience. He has worked closely with architects, contractors, and owners to provide coordinated engineering solutions for a variety of projects. His HVAC design and project management experience includes small commercial tenant improvements, new multi-story office buildings, restaurants, historic building renovations, K-12 projects, medical facilities (MOB’s, doctor/dental offices, and ambulatory surgical centers), laboratories, and light industrial projects.
Rick received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1992. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana. He’s also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and currently serves as president of the Alamo Chapter of ASHRAE. Rick is certified as an Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP). In their spare time, Rick and his wife, Angela, enjoy hanging out with their kids, Sierra and Michael. When the weather and time permit, they love to go boating for the day or RVing for a long weekend.
