Todd Schmitt serves as president and chief executive officer of EEA Consulting Engineers. He was elected to the position in January 2018 by the Board of Directors.
Todd has held a number of positions since joining EEA in 1995, most recently that of vice president. With more than two decades of engineering industry experience, Todd’s focus has been in the design, construction, and commissioning of mechanical and process utility systems for new and existing institutional and industrial facilities. His background in modeling and designing large utility infrastructure projects include central thermal energy plants and campus energy distribution systems.
Todd has overseen projects for clients in the commercial, government, industrial, higher education, manufacturing, data centers, and cleanroom markets, and has done so from conceptual design through construction. Projects have ranged from simple upgrades to complex retrofit/renovation projects with budgets of more than $100M.
Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), Todd is also a registered Project Management Professional (PMP).
Todd received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1994 and his Master of Science in engineering management from The University of Texas at Austin in 2005. Todd is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Texas and New Mexico, as well as a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and watching his sons play sports.
