Jeremy Smith serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer at EEA, bringing extensive leadership and deep technical expertise to guide the firm’s strategic vision and operations.
Prior to stepping into the CEO role, Jeremy served as Chief Technical Officer and as a Principal overseeing EEA’s large commercial and data center markets. His project portfolio spans everything from conventional commercial systems, such as rooftop units and VAV, to highly complex designs like cleanrooms and thermal energy storage. His data center expertise ranges from compact, 100 kW air-cooled facilities to multi-megawatt, water-cooled environments, with every design centered on uncompromising reliability and energy efficiency. Over his career, he has partnered with key clients including the GSA, the DOE, and numerous prominent local architects.
Jeremy’s career with EEA spans over two decades, including a tenure beginning in April 2000, complemented by valuable industry perspective gained through a period as an engineered products salesman and branch manager for a local representative firm. This comprehensive background gives him a uniquely holistic understanding of both the manufacturing/sales side and the high-performance engineering design side of the HVAC industry.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Wyoming in 1998. He is an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and a former president of the Austin ASHRAE chapter.
