Green By Necessity
Since 2003, we have designed more than 2.7 million square feet of LEED or AEGB certified space. We recognize that as the MEP engineer, we are responsible for a significant portion of the points that can be awarded to a project. We make careful design choices to maximize your points in a cost-effective manner.
Sustainable from the Beginning
Long before “sustainability” was a household word, EEA was helping institutional and commercial clients reduce their energy consumption through the use of renewable resources and efficient, innovative design. Energy conservation is in our roots, so we always look to provide systems that make the best use of the client’s money during construction AND through years of operation.
Sustainable through Collaboration
To design and construct a sustainable building requires the dedication of all team members and stakeholders. EEA works closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and building owners to maximize certification points and ensure building systems function optimally.
Sustainable By Design
Sustainable building systems don’t happen by accident. Mechanical systems must be carefully sized, selected, and controlled. Lighting systems must balance efficiency and user functionality. Plumbing systems must be designed to reduce water consumption to the fullest extent possible — a huge concern for our local Central Texas region.
EEA’s expertise in energy conservation design and whole building energy modeling has provided significant contributions to the success of sustainable building projects.
