Experience at All Levels
EEA has extensive experience executing new construction and renovation projects for government organizations of all sizes, including state, local, and municipal entities. Our process begins with developing an understanding of applicable codes and local amendments, entity specific design standards and guidelines, project sustainability requirements, and regional and geographic design influences.
Local Municipalities
EEA works with cities and local agencies on central utility plants, infrastructure projects, and administrative facilities. We have worked closely with the City of Austin, City of Albuquerque and with other cities throughout Texas and New Mexico in developing an early understanding of permitting requirements and timelines ensures that these projects maintain schedule and budget.
As a featured project for our local municipalities sector, check out our design for the City of Austin District Cooling Plant #3, a new cooling plant made to cover an additional 5-10,000 tons of chilled water capacity with 10-12,000 gallons per minute (GPM) pumping capacity to meet the increasing demand of the city.
State Agencies
Our teams adapt to the requirements of each organization we work for — whether at the national or state level. We are proud to have had long-term relationships with multiple state agencies, including:
- Texas Facilities Commission
- Texas Parks & Wildlife Department
- Texas Workforce Commission
- The State of New Mexico
- The State of New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department
- New Mexico Cooperative Educational Services
Our featured State Agency project, Texas Facilities Commission North Austin is a commissioning project involving a 406,000 gross square foot state office building, central plant, and accompanying parking garage.
Tribal Government
EEA also works with tribal government agencies providing MEP design services, commissioning services, facility condition assessments and more. We also provide similar services to related Department of Interior agencies such as the Bureau of Indian Education and Bureau of Indian Affairs. Since 2003, we have designed more than 2.7 million square feet of LEED-certified space.
Government entities are entrusted with tax-payer dollars, and we understand how this elevates the importance of making effective use of these resources.
